Domestic Minor Familial Sex Trafficking Through the Lens of Justice Professionals (2021)

This 2021 dissertation by Jeanne L. Allert (Regent University) examines the often-overlooked phenomenon of Domestic Minor Familial Sex Trafficking (DMFST) in the United States. Through a survey of 68 justice professionals across 24 states and 11 in-depth interviews with law enforcement, Allert investigates why familial trafficking remains under-detected and how the justice system struggles to respond to it.
