How Giving Works

Your gift is received and acknowledged. All standard gift vehicles are accepted—cash, check, securities, DAF grants, estate gifts, and matching contributions.

Your gift enters the Legacy Fund held under the Institute’s ﬁduciary governance, subject to independent audit and full ﬁnancial transparency.

The board of trustees conducts its rigorous grantee review—assessing organizational health, program quality, survivor-centeredness, strategic goals, geographic need, and capacity to deploy funds effectively.

Grants are awarded twice annually based on an application process.

Grantees report back on outcomes. The Institute veriﬁes results, follows up on commitments, and adjusts future grant decisions based on what the data shows.

You receive an annual impact report documenting where your gift went, what it funded, and what changed in the lives of survivors as a result.
