This report presents findings from a national survey of 189 female sex trafficking survivors (ages 14 to 64). The study seeks to answer the rhetorical question, “Why doesn’t she just leave?” by exploring the complex psychological, economic, and relational factors that bind victims to exploitation and the specific interventions that facilitate a permanent exit.
