Substance Use Disorders (2020)
The Substance Use Disorders Report examines the intersection of commercial sexual exploitation and substance use disorders (SUD) within residential programs in the United States. Based on a 2020 survey of 26 agencies across 21 states, the report highlights that addiction is often the “second most presenting condition” for survivors, with some shelters reporting SUD prevalence as high as 87%.
